EEE Dept conducts Add-on Course in Python for EEE students
With an aim to provide participants with essential programming skills and to familiarize them with the applications of Python in engineering and technology, the Dept of EEE successfully conducted an Add-on Course on Python Programming for the 2022 admission batch of EEE students. The program was organized during the sixth semester and held on 23, 24, 25, 27, and 30 June 2025 at the MCA Lab and AIML Lab.
A total of 23 students registered and participated actively in the sessions. The 30-hour hands-on course provided a comprehensive introduction to Python programming, covering the basics of syntax, variables, and control structures, followed by deeper concepts such as data structures, functions, and file handling.
The course also introduced students to numerical computing with NumPy and pandas, enabling effective data handling and analysis. Sessions on data visualization and preprocessing techniques helped participants develop clarity in presenting data insights and preparing datasets for analysis. Real-world Python projects were also undertaken, giving students practical exposure and reinforcing their learning.
By the end of the course, students gained strong foundational skills in Python programming, along with hands-on experience in data analysis and application development, enhancing their technical proficiency and employability.
The sessions were handled by Ms. Sinda P Xavier(Asst Prof, AIML Dept) and Ms. Manjusha P D (Asst Prof, AIML Dept) as Resource Persons. The program was coordinated by Ms. Akhila R (Course Coordinator, Asst Prof, EEE DeptDept.) and Dr. Latha Dinesh (Joint Coordinator, Prof,EEE Dept).
The successful completion of this Add-on Course underscores the department’s commitment to offering skill-based training programs that complement academics and prepare students to thrive in the fast-evolving technological landscape.
The Editorial Team of News & Events joins the entire Vidya fraternity in extending heartiest congratulations to the entire EEE Dept on the successful conduct of the session that helps the participants gain confidence in coding and improved their analytical skills. |
