Annual Athletic Meet 2025 -26

The 19^th edition Annual Athletic Meet of Vidya Academy of Science & Technology was held on 27^th& 28^th February 2026. The meet targeted the wholesome development of the students both physically and intellectually by means of organization and participation in the events. The event was a great success in terms of participation and organization.

Inaugural Ceremony

The Inaugural function commenced with the hoisting of the College Flag by Dr.Sunitha C (Principal) in the presence of Head of sessions, members of faculty & students.  Then started the ‘March Past’ of athletes and the receipt of ‘Salute’ by the Principal followed the Inaugural address and declaration of meet open. Mr.Sibin P G (Kerala Ranji Player,2017–21 Batch, ME Dept) handed over the Torch to APJAKTU Team Members for the torch relay. Krishnasree U P (Sports Secretary, S6, EEE Dept) led the March Past and took the ‘Oath’ on behalf of all the Athletes gathered.

Competitions

8 individual events and 3 relays were held in both Men & Women section and a total 300 registrations were received and 200 student participation reported in the two days event.

The successful organization of the Annual Athletic Meet was made possible through the excellent coordination of Mr. Ramesh K. V. (Asso Prof, Phy. Edn Dept) and Ms. Gopika Krishna S M (Asst Prof, Phy.Edn Dept) along with the dedicated efforts of staff coordinators, student volunteers and other supporting members who worked tirelessly to ensure the smooth and efficient conduct of the event.
