Vidya Student Support Cell (VSSC) conducts various sessions aimed at enhancing the well-being of staff and students. VSSC organized a session on the Mentoring System with Students at Vidya Academy of Science & Technology, Thrissur, with the objective of strengthening the mentor-mentee relationship and supporting students in both academic and personal development on 15 January 2026 and 28 January 2026.

The session  led by Dr. Jiby Jose (VSSC Co-ordinator, Prof, AS Dept) and Dr. Sreedevi (Asso Prof, AS Dept) (VSSC Co-ordinator, Asso Prof, AS Dept) emphasized the importance of mentoring as a continuous and structured process that helps students navigate academic challenges, career planning, and personal concerns. Faculty mentors actively interacted with their mentees, creating a comfortable environment for open communication and guidance.

During the session, mentors discussed students’ academic progress, attendance, and overall well-being. Students were encouraged to share their concerns, aspirations, and difficulties, enabling mentors to provide personalized support and solutions. The session also highlighted the role of mentors in identifying students who may require additional academic assistance or emotional support.

Interactive discussions and feedback sharing made the session highly effective. Students expressed that the mentoring system helped them feel more connected to the institution and supported in their journey.
