EEE faculty member successfully completed a Five-Day Online Short Term Course titled “Challenges and Solutions for Power Quality in Modern Power Electronics Driven Power Systems”.

Vidya continues to strengthen its academic and research culture through the active participation of its faculty members in advanced professional development programmes.

Mr. Rajesh S. K. (Asso. Prof, EEE Dept) has successfully completed a Five-Day Online Short Term Course (STC) titled “Challenges and Solutions for Power Quality in Modern Power Electronics Driven Power Systems”. The programme was organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering, Dream Institute of Technology, Kolkata, and was conducted from 25 November 2025 to 29 November 2025.

The STC focused on contemporary challenges related to power quality in power electronics–dominated electrical systems and explored advanced mitigation techniques and practical solutions. The course provided in-depth insights into harmonics, voltage disturbances, power quality standards, and modern compensation strategies, which are highly relevant in today’s power systems integrating renewable energy sources, electric vehicles, and smart grid technologies.
