CE Dept conducts industrial interaction program on Revit Essentials: A Technical Insight Session
The Civil Engineering Department provides students with practical exposure to Building Information Modeling (BIM) using Revit, enhances their technical skills, and bridges the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.
The Civil Engineering Association of the Department of Civil Engineering (CEA), in collaboration with the Institution of Engineers (IE(I)) – VAST Student Chapter, successfully organized a one-day Industrial Interaction Program titled “Revit Essentials: A Technical Insight Session” on 30 March 2026. The program was conducted by CISAT (Cadpoint Institute of Science & Technology), an authorized CADD training center in Thrissur.
The session featured expert lectures, industrial interaction, and hands-on concept drawing training. The resource person, Mr. Arundas V. M. (Director, Cadpoint Institute of Science & Technology), delivered insightful sessions for Semester 4 Civil Engineering students at the CADD laboratory, enhancing their understanding of Revit and its practical applications in the industry.
Dr. Abhilasha P. S.(Prof, HoD, CE Dept) welcomed the gathering and emphasized the importance of such training programs in meeting current industry demands. Ms. Nirmala Krishnan (Asst. Prof -Sr Grade,CE Dept) introduced the resource person to the audience.
The program was coordinated and organized by Mr. Renjith R (CEA In-Charge,Asst. Prof ,CE Dept)) and Ms Roshni Vijay (Staff Co-ordinator – IE(I) VAST Student Chapter & Asst Prof, CE Dept). for the pre-final year students.
A feedback session conducted at the end of the program indicated that the session was highly beneficial and well received, marking the overall success of the event.
