EEE Department successfully conducts Add-on Course on “IoT and Embedded Systems”

With an aim to provide students with industry-oriented knowledge and hands-on experience in emerging technologies such as Embedded Systems, Internet of Things (IoT), sensor interfacing, cloud connectivity, real-time data acquisition, and smart applications, the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) successfully organized a 30-hour Add-on Course on “IoT and Embedded Systems” for B.Tech EEE students of the 2023 and 2024 admission batches from 22 to 27 June 2026 (excluding 26 June) at the Common Computer Centre Lab.

A total of 33 students participated in the programme, including 26 students from the Fourth Semester (2024 Admission) and 7 students from the Sixth Semester (2023 Admission). 

The sessions were led by Ms. Varada V. R. and Ms. Devika K. Prakasan, Robotics Engineers from Inker Robotics, who delivered interactive lectures and practical training, enabling students to gain valuable exposure to real-world IoT applications and embedded system development.

The programme was coordinated by Dr. Neenu Thomas, Associate Professor, Department of EEE, Mr. Arun Xavier, Assistant Professor, Department of EEE. Mr. Krishnakumar M. served as the CCE Coordinator for the programme, ensuring the smooth conduct of the laboratory sessions and technical support throughout the training. Mr. Rajesh S. K. and Ms. Lasitha Mohandas served as the Joint Coordinators.
