With the shared aim of showing respect and appreciation, the Vidya Staff Club hosted a reflective farewell function to Dr. A. P. Sobha (Prof, Chemistry – AS Dept) and Mr. Liju Augustian (Asst Prof – AS Dept) on 12 June 2026.While the event provided a platform for colleagues to express their heartfelt gratitude for their dedicated service, technical expertise, and positive presence on campus, Dr. A. P. Sobha warmly wanted that the gathering felt more like an intimate, informal family get-together than an official function. Dr. Sunitha C. (Principal) shared personal memories with profound professional admiration.
She fondly recalled her early career interactions with Dr. A. P. Sobha, praising her versatile leadership across both technical and non-technical domains—notably her invaluable contributions to institutional initiatives like V THINK and her creative guidance as the Editor of the College Magazine. Dr. Sunitha then highlighted Mr. Liju’s dynamic impact over the years, commending his pivotal role in crucial administrative responsibilities, including managing the Exam Cell, serving as a key resource person and driving major institutional flagship events like VIBE
The day ended on a poignant yet beautiful note—a heartfelt celebration of dedication, mentorship, and lifelong bonds. Surrounded by warmth and collective affection, the entire Vidya fraternity wished Dr. A. P. Responding to the felicitations, Mr. Liju Augustian conveyed his deep appreciation to the college and his peers for their continuous support. He spoke about his fulfilling years at Vidya, particularly highlightied the enriching experience of spearheading major college events and working closely with student bodies and Vidya fraternity.
