Alumni Interaction Session inspires first-year EEE students at VIDYARAMBH 2026
The Department of EEE motivates students to discover their strengths, nurture their talents and make the most of their engineering journey through a wide range of engaging and enriching activities.
As part of VIDYARAMBH 2026 – Student Induction Programme, the Department of EEE organised an inspiring Alumni Interaction Session for first-year EEE students on 13 August 2026.Titled “When Passion Meets Purpose: An Engineer’s Journey into Music”, the session featured Ms. Induleka Warrier (Indian playback singer, composer, rapper and storyteller, 2010–2014 batch,EEE Dept). Ms. Induleka shared her inspiring journey of pursuing her passion for music alongside her engineering education.
The interaction offered the newly joined students a unique perspective on how an engineering education can provide a strong foundation for diverse professional and creative journeys. Drawing from her own experiences, Ms. Induleka emphasised the importance of identifying one’s passion, nurturing individual talents and having the confidence to explore opportunities beyond conventional career paths.
Her journey from an engineering student to a professional artist provided an engaging example of how passion, purpose, creativity and perseverance can come together to shape a meaningful career. The session encouraged students to remain open to new experiences, make the most of their college years, discover their interests and continuously develop their abilities.
The alumni interaction formed an integral part of the VIDYARAMBH 2026 Student Induction Programme, which aims to help first-year students become familiar with the academic environment while providing inspiration and guidance through the experiences of accomplished alumni.
“When Passion Meets Purpose” proved to be a fitting theme for the interaction, encouraging the young EEE students to dream beyond conventional boundaries, discover their strengths and embark together on their journey towards excellence. co ordinated the session who was the group tuitor of Ms. Induleka during 2010–2014. The session was coordinated by Dr. Mary P Varghese (Prof,EEE Dept),Ms. Akhila R. (Asst Prof – Sr Grade, EEE Dept) shares a special connection with the occasion, having served as Ms. Indulekha’s group tutor from 2010 to 2014 and currently serving as the group tutor for the present batch.The session was led by Dr. Vinila M. L. (HoD, EEE Dept.).As a token of appreciation, a memento was presented to Ms. Indulekha by Ms. Sheeja G. (Alumni Coordinator & Asst Prof, EEE Dept).
The session created an engaging and memorable beginning to the students’ engineering journey, reinforcing the message that engineering education can open doors to diverse possibilities and that success can take many different forms.
