ViCA organizes expert talk on Emerging Career Opportunities in AI
The Department of Computer Applications enlightened students on diverse career pathways beyond core programming by conducting various activities
The department, under the banner of ViCA (Vidya Computer Applications Association), organized an insightful expert talk on “Beyond Coding: Building Future Careers in AI, Semiconductor Software & Fab Automation” on 07 July 2026.
Ms. Deepa Asok (Project Manager,Edify DataScience Pvt. Ltd., Tehnopark, Trivandrum) served as the resource person. She provided valuable insights into emerging career pathways beyond traditional programming, highlighting opportunities in Artificial Intelligence, semiconductor software development, and fabrication automation industries.
The MCA Department also has a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Edify DataScience Pvt. Ltd., which adds significant value to such industry-academic interactions by enabling knowledge sharing, training, and career guidance initiatives for students.
The session aimed to broaden students’ perspectives on evolving technological domains and equip them with knowledge about industry expectations and future skill requirements. Students actively engaged in the session, making it highly interactive and informative.
