AIML Dept conducts session on “AI &ML : The Technology Shaping Tomorrow” for HSS students

With the objective of introducing students to the rapidly evolving fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) and creating awareness about their growing role in shaping the future of technology, the Department of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Vidya Academy of Science & Technology, successfully organized “AI & ML: The Technology Shaping Tomorrow”—a technical workshop exclusively designed for higher secondary students on 22 September 2026 at St. Joseph’s & St. Cyril’s HSS, West Mangad.

The workshop provided an opportunity for higher secondary students to gain a basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and their relevance in everyday life and emerging technological applications. Through an engaging and student-oriented technical session, the participants were introduced to the concepts and possibilities associated with AI and ML.

The session also aimed to encourage students to explore technology-oriented fields and develop curiosity towards emerging areas of computing. The workshop highlighted the increasing influence of AI-driven technologies in various domains and helped students understand the significance of acquiring knowledge and skills in these areas for future academic and career opportunities.

The technical sessions were handled by Ms. Vismaya N Sasi (Asst Prof, AIML Dept) and Ms. Anagha Abhilash K (Asst Prof, AIML Dept). Their sessions were designed to make the concepts of AI and ML accessible and interesting to higher secondary students through clear explanations and interactive engagement.

The workshop was highly interactive, with students actively participating in the session and showing keen interest in understanding Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Overall, the “AI & ML: The Technology Shaping Tomorrow” workshop was a successful outreach initiative by the Department of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. The programme effectively created awareness among higher secondary students about AI and ML and encouraged them to explore the exciting opportunities available in these emerging technological domains.
