VSEC conducts an awareness programme on “Gen Z Parenting on “Gen Z Parenting” for Parents

Vidya Social Empowerment Center (VSEC), under the aegis of Vidya International Charitable Trust (VICT), has always striven to create awareness and promote effective communication.

VSEC under the Moulding Wing, organized an awareness programme on “Gen Z Parenting” on 05 September 2026.Mr. Alex Chacko (Motivational Speaker, Ph.D. Scholar at Government Engineering College (GEC Thrissur) served as the resource person.The programme was attended by nearly 40 participants, who actively engaged throughout the session.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome by Dr. Siju K. C (Head, VSEC and Asso. Prof, AS Dept). Mr. Alex Chacko C discussed the characteristics, behaviours, and expectations of Generation Z, highlighting effective ways for parents to communicate with, understand, and guide today’s youth. Through practical examples and interactive discussions, he emphasized the importance of empathy, trust, digital awareness, and positive parenting approaches.The session concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Akhila R (Asst Prof – Sr Grade, EEE  Dept)

The programme was highly engaging, with participants demonstrating keen interest through active interaction and thoughtful questions. The practical insights shared by the resource person enabled participants to relate the concepts to real-life parenting situations.Overall, the programme created meaningful awareness about understanding and supporting Gen Z and received an encouraging response from the attendees.
