Vidya men’s football team secures runners-up position in APJAKTU E-Zone Football Championship 2026-27

The APJAKTU E-Zone Football Championship 2026–27 (Men) was organized by Government Engineering College, Palakkad, from 17 – 24 October 2026. The men’s football team of Vidya showcased an outstanding performance, demonstrating exceptional teamwork, determination, discipline, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

The team made a remarkable comeback by reaching the championship final for the first time since 2019, after a gap of seven years, marking a significant milestone in VAST’s football journey. Adding another feather to the institution’s cap, the VAST men’s football team secured the Runners-Up position and qualified for the APJAKTU Interzone Football Championship.

This commendable achievement reflects the dedication, perseverance, and collective efforts of the players, complemented by the continuous guidance, encouragement and training provided by the Department of Physical Education.
