ECE Dept organises 3-day workshop on Audio and Video Processing

The ECE Dept of the College organised a three-day Workshop on Audio and Video Processing during 16 – 18 July 2018 aimed at providing an insight into the area of speech processing. The syllabus for the program was based on the syllabus for a course with the same title offered in the Seventh Semester of B Tech (ECE) curriculum of APJAKTU.

The workshop was coordinated by Ms Vandana M and Mr Suraj R, Assistant professors in the ECE Dept.

The inauguration of the workshop was held on 16 July 2018 at 9.30 a.m. at VLSI Lab. Dr S Swapna Kumar (HoD, ECE Dept) delivered the welcome address. Dr Saji C B, Principal, presided over the function. The workshop was inaugurated by Sri Suresh Lal (Finance Director, VICT). Dr D Govind (Asst. Prof., Computational Engineeering & Networking, Amritha School of Engineering, Coimbatore) delivered the key-note address. Ms Vandana M (Coordinator of the Workshop) delivered the vote of thanks.

All the sessions of the workshop were handled by Dr D Govind. Frequency domain and time domain analysis of speech signals were discussed in detail and hands on sessions were provided.

As many as 33 faculty members from various colleges and M Tech students of Vidya participated in the workshop. The workshop was concluded with a valedictory function.
