Nine CE students attend ten-day training programme by Himma International Academy
Nine B Tech (CE) students of the 2018 pass-out batch attended a 10-day training programme called “Civil Engineering & Infrastructure Training” at Mangala Towers, Thrissur, during 20 – 31 July 2018. The programme was offered by Himma International Academy, a training institute set up by IIT graduates and internationally reputed professionals to offer career guidance and practical training to civil engineering students in India. The standard fees for the training program was Rs 25,000 per student and it was offered to Vidya students free of cost.
The program had modules focused on different specialisations of the civil engineering discipline such as urban planning, transportation, water and wastewater, structures, project management, geo-technical and environmental engineering. The syllabus for the programme was based on international best practices being followed in planning, civil and environmental engineering, and infrastructure sectors.
