Vidya hosts North Zone NSS Volunteer Secretaries’ Meet 2018

Vidya hosted a two-day North Zone NSS Volunteer Secretaries’ Meet 2018 on 9 – 10 October 2018.

As many as 174 NSS Volunteer Secretaries from institutions in seven northern districts of Kerala attended the programme.  The programme was started with flag hoisting ceremony by Dr Sudha Balagopalan (Dean-Academics).

Highlights

First day

• A session on “Wealth from Waste” by Dr Sudha Balagopalan (Dean-Academics)
• Sessions  on “Leadership Quality” and  “Special Camping” by  Mr Hareesh K (AP, ME Dept) and Mr Jayachandran (ETI Trainer) respectively
• A session of “Unit level management” by Mr Anil M (NSS Programme Officer, Vidya)

Second day

• A session on “Green Campus Clean Campus” by resource person Mr Prasoon
• An activity oriented dynamic session handled by Mr Sujay (Programme Officer, SCMS)
• An orientation on registration in the NSS site for unit and volunteers by Mr Blesson (Field Officer)
• A session on “Sustainable Development” by Mr Arun Puthukad (AP, ME Dept)
• A visit of Ms Ajitha S (State Programme Coordinator, NSS Technical Cell, Kerala)  and discussions on activities to be done in their respective districts
