Dr Vineetha C P of AS Dept captures spirit of Thrissur Pooram in embroidery work
Thrissur Pooram, having a tradition of more than 200 years, a heart throbbing event of colourful parasols, percussion music and fireworks is one of the greatest gatherings of Asia. Dr Vineetha C P (Asst Prof, Applied Sciences Dept) has done a wonderful hand embroidery work depicting Thrissur Pooram on matty canvas cloth. The work, an image of which is displayed as the featured image of this report, presents the Sri Vadakunnathan Kshethra Gopuram, the elephants, the trees and the sea of people. The work was completed in a duration of six months on a cloth canvas sheet measuring 4.5 X 3.0 feet. The Editorial Team of News & Events congratulates Dr Vineetha C P for this exceptional creative work
