Vidya hosts NSS Special Training Programme for HSS students from four selected districts

Vidya always promotes the  special demand to the youth as it provides unique opportunities to the students for group living, combined experience sharing and steady interaction with community.

The members of staff in  Vidya have contributed exemplary well in designing several volunteering models to enable the younger generation get involved in the community despite their time constraints.

This time Vidya served as an ideal platform for a NSS Special Camping Programme that to  encourage the volunteers to work among and with people. A training program for the NSS volunteers of Higher Secondary School (HSS) students from the selected districts Idukki, Ernakualam, Palakkad and Thrissur was conducted during 20 – 28 October 2022. The sessions were arranged for two days for NSS volunteers of HSS students representing every district.

The sessions provided were focused on efforts to uplift the spirit of NSS volunteers by conducting various activities  that of  Training Programs, Session on  ‘Drug Abuse’, ‘Gender Equality’ and ‘Leadership’.   The participants  showcased their talent in the cultural programmes and the  programmes such as songs, dances and orchestra were a treat to the spectators.

The training program witnessed an active participation of more than 500 volunteers .  The volunteers thanked everyone who helped to make this event a huge triumph. Dr Saji C B (Principal) addressed the gathering and encouraged the volunteers to actively participate and involve their  mind and soul in all the NSS activities. Mr Anil M (Asst Prof, ECE Dept) co-ordinated the entire training programme.
