IEDC conducts Global Startup Bootcamp ‘VISTLE’

To instill a tradition of innovation motivated entrepreneurship to the student’s entrepreneurial journey ,the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) of Vidya conducted Global Startup Bootcamp ‘VISTLE’ during 29-30 July 2023. Mr Vishnu Nagaraj (Founder & CEO (Carve Startup Labs (CSL),Entrepreneur – Innovator – Startup Advisor – Startup Investment – IoT – Strategist – Product Architect – Startup Evangelist ) and Ms Alisha Davis (COO Cofounder, CSL) served as the resource persons. The bootcamp was co-ordinated by Mr Anil M (IEDC Nodal Officer and Asst Prof, ECE Dept).

The bootcamp provided a great platform to incubators and accelerators to research innovative ideas and open business opportunities from corporations and governments seeking ideas, solutions etc. More than 60 students who are passionate towards entrepreneurship participated in the bootcamp .

The students were divided into different groups on the first day. Each group proposed new-new startup ideas. Every steps were taken as per the instructions given by the mentors. The friendly behaviour of the mentors helped students to clear all the doubts and to do everything properly. On the last day, 30th July, the groups were presented their ideas using ppts. Dr Saji C B (Principal) and Mr Anil M (IEDC Nodal Officer and Asst Prof, ECE Dept) served as panel members.They provided their valuable reviews and fedabacks for each group. At last students shared their feedbacks.

Overall this programme helped each and every participants to understand the various processes and the things to be considered before the implementation of a startup.VISTLE served as a platform for aspiring entrepreneurs,innovators and industry experts to come up to exchange ideas and foster collaboration.
