AIML Dept conducts workshop on “Machine Learning Using Python” for diploma students
The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, has been conducting numerous workshops/ hands on training, etc. to shed light on the transformative influence of latest technologies.
With an aim to familiarize the participants, both the theoretical foundations and practical applications of Machine Learning algorithms using Python The Dept of AIML conducted a one-day workshop titled “Machine Learning Using Python” on 03 February 2024 for diploma students.
Given the pervasive impact of machine learning on everyday life, this workshop aimed Machine Learning, an application of Artificial Intelligence, empowers computers to autonomously learn from data without explicit programming. Python, known for its capability to craft sophisticated Machine Learning algorithms, stands out as the premier platform for developing ML systems. Dr. Sunitha C (Vice Principal, HoD, AIML Dept) and Ms. Manjusha P D (Asst Prof, AIML Dept) skillfully handled the sessions. A total of 24 students from different polytechnics like Women Polytechnic College Neupuzha, Maharajas Technical Institute Thrissur, Government Polytechnic College Kunnamkulam and Sree Rama Polytechnic Triprayar participated in this workshop.
Dr. Sunitha C delivered welcome address with a brief overview of the technical sessions scheduled for the workshop. Dr. Saji C B (Principal) officially inaugurated the workshop and delivered an insightful inaugural address. Dr. Sudha Balagopalan (Dean Academic )shared valuable insights. Ms. Riya P (Asst Prof, AIML Dept) delivered vote of thanks. The workshop begins with an introduction to basic machine learning Techniques and python libraries like numpy, pandas, matplotlib etc. The hands-on session delved into essential concepts such as data types, Python libraries, and data visualization and Classification using Iris dataset. Practical experience was provided to students, guiding them in the creation of a basic machine learning project using Python. Participants expressed their satisfaction, providing excellent feedback on both the conduct and content of the workshop.E-certificates were awarded to the participants in recognition of their active involvement and successful completion of the workshop. Ms Riya P (Asst Prof, AIML Dept) co-ordinated the workshop
The Editorial Team of News & Events joins the entire Vidya fraternity in extending hearty congratulations to the entire AIML Dept on the successful conduct of the workshop that offers key Python skills with engaging progress tasks and hard actions to solve real-world problems!!! |
