Learning Japanese language – An awareness talk

Foreign language skills is an important differentiator in the world of international business. Of late, the Indian business which is integrating their operations with the global market is seeking talent with skills in foreign language. Japanese and German besides, French, Mandarin, Spanish, Russian, etc. are some of the international languages of prominence.

On Tuesday, April 30, 2024, Vidya Academy of Science and Technology, organized an awareness talk on the Japanese language covering the importance of Japanese as an international language, on how to learn Japanese, duration required to learn, the levels that one would need to master, and other elements required for learning this language. This workshop is open to all students from all branches and all batches.

Ms. Philo Thomas, an established language trainers addressed the gathering along with Ms. Liz Thomas, who has been working with Mazda, Japan, over the last seven years. Mr. Suresh Lal )Executive Director, VICT,) presided over the function and Mr Ashokan EG (Trustee Coordinator, VICT) felicitated the gathering. Together, they addressed the numerous queries raised by over two hundred interested students who attended the session on the day at 11 am at Pranavam, the college auditorium.
