CSE students win first prize in the event ‘IT-Rix’

Vidya students make their best in emphasizing critical thinking and teamwork and challenging the situations effectively under pressure.

A Ardra Nair (S7, CSE Dept) Aparna Menon (S7, CSE Dept) and Aiswarya Chandran (S7, CSE Dept) participated in the IT-Rix Critical Thinking event held at Vimala College,Thrissur on 27 August 2024.This competition, organized by the Department of Computer Science as part of their tech fest, was designed to test participants’ critical thinking, problem-solving, and presentation skills.

The event commenced with a quiz round.This round required the participants to think quickly and accurately across a wide range of topics. The competition then advanced to a problem-solving round, where the team was tasked with analyzing and presenting solutions to real-life scenarios..

In the final round, the team faced a scenario-based challenge. With only five minutes to prepare, they were required to devise and present a solution to a complex problem. This round tested their ability to think on their feet and deliver a coherent and persuasive presentation.

At the conclusion of the event, the team was awarded the first prize, recognizing their outstanding performance in all three rounds. Their success in the IT-Rix Critical Thinking competition highlighted their ability to work collaboratively, think critically, and present their ideas effectively. The event was a significant achievement for the team, showcasing their skills and setting a high standard for future participants.
