VSEC Conducts “Campus to Corporate” – An Online Career Guidance Session

Vidya Social Empowerment Center (VSEC), a unit of Vidya International Charitable Trust (VICT), consistently undertakes a wide range of activities designed to enhance students’ competencies and ensure holistic personal and academic development.

VSEC organized an online career guidance session titled “Campus to Corporate” on 28 January 2026 . The programme was held from 7:30 PM to 8:40 PM and witnessed the active participation of 61 students, who were the primary beneficiaries of the session.

The session aimed to prepare college students for a smooth transition from academic life to the corporate world. The programme commenced with a prayer song, followed by a warm welcome address by Ms. Anamika Sebastian (VSEC Student Volunteer, S6,ECE Dept). An introduction to VSEC and its initiatives was delivered by Mr. Santumon S D (VSEC Staff Member,Asst Prof, ECE Dept) highlighting the center’s ongoing commitment to empowering students through career-oriented programmes.

The resource person for the session was Mr. Hareesh K (Senior Manager – Learning and Development at Agappe Diagnostics Ltd.) He was formally introduced by Ms. Gayathri (VSEC Student Volunteer, S6,ECE Dept). Mr. Hareesh delivered an insightful and engaging talk, sharing valuable industry experiences and practical guidance on corporate culture, professional ethics, communication skills, employability requirements, and the importance of continuous learning. His session provided students with clarity on industry expectations and helped them understand the essential skills required to succeed in a professional environment.

An interactive question-and-answer session followed, during which participants actively engaged with the speaker and clarified their doubts related to career planning and workplace challenges. The discussion further enriched the learning experience and encouraged students to think proactively about their future careers.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Abraham John (VSEC Student Volunteer, S6,ECE Dept) who expressed sincere gratitude to the resource person, organizers, and participants for their cooperation and active involvement.

Overall, the session proved to be highly beneficial, enhancing students’ awareness of corporate life and boosting their confidence to face future career challenges. The event was effectively coordinated by Gayathri P (VSEC Student Volunteer, S6,ECE Dept) and Jineesh (VSEC Student Volunteer, S6,ECE Dept) with the support of VSEC members and student volunteers, ensuring the smooth and successful conduct of the programme.
