TINKERHUB and IEDC-condcts Tink-Her-Hack 4.0
Details of the Program:
Tink-Her-Hack 4.0 was a women-centric hackathon organized by TinkerHub in collaboration with IEDC-VAST, aimed at fostering innovation and collaboration.
The event commenced with a formal Inauguration, where faculty and mentors set a visionary tone, emphasizing the importance of gender diversity in the technology sector. Following the opening ceremony, a structured Team Formation phase allowed participants to bridge different skill sets, fostering an environment of collaborative synergy and collective brainstorming.
With teams established, the core of the event focused on Project Development. Participants transitioned from conceptual ideation to hands-on building, utilizing modern frameworks and AI tools to develop functional tech solutions aimed at solving real-world challenges. To ensure teams remained on track, Evaluation Checkpoints were integrated throughout the 24-hour period. During these sessions, industry mentors provided critical feedback, helping participants troubleshoot technical hurdles and refine their project logic.
To maintain high energy and momentum, the schedule included various Interactive Sessions and ice-breaking activities, which strengthened the community bond among the makers. The hackathon reached its climax with the Final Presentations, where teams demonstrated their working prototypes to a panel of judges. The event concluded with an Award Ceremony, celebrating the ingenuity of the participants and recognizing the most impactful innovations developed during the intensive two-day sprint.
Throughout the hackathon, participants engaged deeply in the process of project development, from idea generation to final presentation, while receiving continuous support from the mentors. The dynamic environment fostered creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving.
Program Outcomes:
Enhanced Technical and Problem-Solving Skills: Participants developed their technical skills and improved their ability to solve complex problems through hands-on project development.
Improved Teamwork and Collaboration: The team-based approach of the hackathon helped participants improve their collaboration and communication skills.
Increased Confidence Among Women Students: The event significantly boosted the confidence of women students, empowering them to engage in hackathons and other tech competitions.
