Vibrant celebration of laughter, teamwork and togetherness at Vidya Staff Club Day 2026

The day unfolded as a vibrant celebration of talent, creativity and togetherness, leaving everyone with memories to cherish. It began with an energetic and colorful ramp walk that set an enthusiastic tone for the events that followed. From that moment onward, the atmosphere remained lively and engaging, seamlessly transitioning into a series of soulful and captivating performances
The formal proceedings of the event were gracefully initiated with a warm welcome by Ms. Jemy Jose Kakkassery (Staff Club Secretary and Asst. Prof., ECE Dept). Her address set a cordial and inviting tone, bringing together the audience in a spirit of celebration and unity.The occasion was further enriched by the thoughtful messages delivered by Dr. Sunitha C (Principal) and  Dr. Shalij P. R (Director –Academics,VICT). Their words painted a lively canvas, beautifully capturing the essence of togetherness, joy, and the significance of such gatherings in strengthening institutional bonds.The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Ms. Nimya M. G. (Staff Club Joint Secretary, Lab Instructor, AS Dept), whose sincere acknowledgment of all contributors, performers, and organizers provided a fitting closure to a day filled with memorable moments and shared happiness.

Participants representing diverse streams such as AS Department, ECE Department, Administration & Thread of Tradition team—including EEE, CSE, MCA, Valuation Camp, and Library—took to the ramp with remarkable confidence and elegance. Each group showcased its unique identity through creative themes, vibrant attire, and expressive presentations, adding depth and variety to the event.Their performances reflected not only individual talent but also a strong sense of unity and pride, making the ramp walk a captivating and memorable experience for all. The ECE Department emerged as the winners of the Best Team title. Dr.Swapna Kumar (HoD, ECE Dept) was recognized as Mr Vidya, while Ms Fetsy K Francis (Asst Prof – Sr Grade, ECE Dept)  earned the title of Ms. Vidya.

The musical segment was particularly enchanting, with hearty renditions by Dr.Swapna Kumar (HoD, ECE Dept), Ms Akhila R (Asst Prof – Sr Grade, EEE Dept), Mr  Aneesh M A (Library Attendant),Ms Shyamli S (Office Assistant Administration) and Ms Vijayalekshmy T K(Hostel Matron). The musical segment was further enhanced by a captivating performance by Vedika M S (daughter of  Ms Bhavana Vishwanath- Accountant,Administration). The duet by Ms Akhila R (Asst Prof – Sr Grade, EEE Dept) and Mr  Aneesh M A (Library Attendant), created a nostalgic atmosphere with their melodious and soothing voices.Adding a literary charm, Mr. K. Vijayanarayanan (Library Attendant) captivated the audience with a heartfelt recital of his self-composed poem.The dance performance by the ECE Department and the Administration team’s group song further added to the charm.
The true showstopper of the day was a mesmerizing mother–daughter duo performance that captivated the audience with its grace and charm.The stage came alive with a breathtaking mother–daughter duet by Ms Anupa V S (Office Assistant Administration Exam Cell) and Anvitha Ajith (daughter of Ms Anupa V S) leaving the audience spellbound with its elegance, charm, and emotional warmth. Anvitha, a nine-year-old who had performed her arangettam just a couple of weeks earlier, showcased extraordinary talent by choreographing a well-known dance piece and presenting it with remarkable poise and confidence. Her movements were fluid and expressive, reflecting a depth of understanding far beyond her years. What made the performance even more special was the beautiful synergy she shared with her mother—Anvitha not only performed with grace but also gently guided her mother through the choreography, resulting in a seamless and emotionally resonant presentation.The seamless coordination between mother and daughter, their expressive storytelling, and the deep bond they shared elevated the duet into a touching celebration of artistry and affection, leaving an indelible impression on the audience.
The game sessions, filled with fun and energy, fostered camaraderie and togetherness beyond mere competition among staff members.
