CE Dept served as the Quality Inspection Team for soil testing at Thekkumkara Village

To assess the soil characteristics and ensure the safety and stability of the proposed construction site by conducting soil testing and analysis, the Department of Civil Engineering, served as the Consultancy Agency Quality Inspection Team for soil testing at Thekkumkara Village on 17 March 2026. As part of the quality inspection process,Dr. Abhilasha P. S. (Prof,HoD, CE Dept),Ms. Kalyani Vijayakumar (Asst. Prof, CE Dept) and Ms. Seetha Pisharikkel (Asst. Prof, CE Dept) visited the proposed construction site.

The project involves the construction of a residential building in a highland area. The team has been entrusted with assessing site safety during earthwork operations, particularly cutting and filling activities.

This includes conducting soil testing in the Civil Engineering Laboratory, followed by detailed soil stability analysis to ensure the structural safety and suitability of the site for construction.
