Vidya faculty members attend FDP titled “AI for Educators: From Chalkboard to Chatbots”

Vidya  faculty members explore the transition from traditional teaching methods to AI-powered classrooms by attending arious coures.

A two-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled “AI for Educators: From Chalkboard to Chatbots” was conducted on 26th and 27th February 2026 at Sahrdaya College of Engineering & Technology under PALS Initiative for the academic year 2025–26.

The program was delivered by Prof. Arun K.Tangirala (Professor,IIT Tirupati). It focused on equipping engineering educators with the knowledge and skills required to effectively integrate Artificial Intelligence into teaching, assessment, research and academic practice. The sessions were interactive and hands-on, enabling participants to explore practical applications of AI in education.

From Vidya Academy of Science & Technology, the FDP was attended by Dr. Swapna Kumar (Prof, HoD, ECE Dept),Dr. Latha Dinesh (Asso Prof, EEE Dept) and Dr. Abitha (Asso Prof, ECE Dept).

The program provided valuable insights into AI-driven teaching methodologies and encouraged faculty members to adopt innovative and technology-enabled practices in engineering education. Overall, the FDP served as a meaningful platform for professional development and knowledge enhancement in the evolving field of Artificial Intelligence.
