ME faculty member secures Elite certification with Top 1% performer recognition in NPTEL course

Vidya faculty members actively pursue professional development opportunities such as NPTEL certification courses to deepen their understanding of “Effective Teaching” and enhance innovative pedagogical practices.

With great pride and honor, the Department of Mechanical Engineering announces that Mr. Sarath Babu Ramachandran (Asst Prof-Seln.Grade,ME Dept) has successfully completed the NPTEL online certification course titled “Outcome Based Pedagogic Principles for Effective Teaching” conducted during the February–March 2026 session, securing Elite Silver certification with Top 1% performer status.

The 4-week course, offered under the NPTEL initiative funded by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, focused on modern pedagogical strategies, outcome-based education, and effective teaching methodologies for higher education.

He secured an Elite certification with an impressive consolidated score of 85% and achieved a Top 1% performer status, reflecting excellence in academic and teaching competencies. This accomplishment highlights the faculty member’s commitment to strengthening innovative teaching practices and enhancing quality education in engineering.
