ECE Dept conducts Alumni-Student Mentorship Programme

With the aim of bridging the gap between academia and industry, the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) successfully organized an online Alumni–Student Mentorship Programme via Zoom on 08 July 2026, centered on the theme “Crafting NexGen Entrepreneurs.”

Featuring an inspiring keynote by distinguished alumnus Mr. Sebin Sunny P (CEO, EIC & IIoT Sensors CoE, Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management–Kerala (IIITM-K),Government of Kerala,2005-09 Batch, ECE Dept) ) and an interactive Q&A session, the event equipped students with actionable insights on career planning, technical innovation, startup incubation, and funding networks while strengthening the institutional alumni ecosystem for continuous mentorship.

Core Insights: Mr. Sebin delivered an engaging talk on identifying real-world problems, fostering innovation, building leadership qualities, and transforming engineering ideas into sustainable ventures.

Startup Ecosystem: He briefed students on Indian government and institutional incubation, funding support, and innovation ecosystems available for young founders.

Interactive Q&A: Students engaged in an open discussion regarding career choices, startup funding, skill acquisition, and industry expectations.
