EEE Dept marks research excellence with IJRES publication

The EEE Department promotes research and innovation among students and faculty by developing voice-controlled assistive technologies that enhance mobility, independence and quality of life for individuals with physical disabilities.

The Department proudly congratulates its students and faculty members on the successful publication of their research article titled “Voice Controlled Wheel Chair” in the International Journal of Research in Engineering & Science (IJRES), Volume 16, Issue 2 (2026).

The research focuses on the design and development of a voice-controlled wheelchair aimed at enhancing mobility and independence for individuals with physical disabilities. By integrating voice recognition technology with assistive mobility systems, the project presents an affordable and user-friendly solution that contributes to the development of inclusive and socially relevant healthcare technologies.

The research work was carried out collaboratively by Albin Babu (S8, EEE Dept), Anjo K. A (S8, EEE Dept), Arjun P (S8, EEE Dept) and Arun Mohandas (S8, EEE Dept) under the guidance of Dr. Mary P. Varghese (Prof, EEE Dept) and Ms. Akhila R (Asst Prof – Sr Grade,EEE Dept)

The publication highlights the department’s continued commitment to fostering research, innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and socially responsible engineering solutions.
