An Interactive session by Dr. Narayanan Komerath, Professor, Daniel Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, United States was held at 10.00 am on Tuesday, December 20, 2016. He enlightened the gathering of Directors, Principal, Heads of Departments, faculty, and other staff members about need for developing and implementing various technologies to meet the energy requirements of our nation. The energy needs can only be met by developing a host of technologies across bio-gas, natural fuel, solar photo-voltaic
cells, etc. Over 300 million people in our country still lack access to basic power; so a big challenge also lies in educating our people in the villages and helping them achieve their basic necessities.
Mr. Divakaran PK, Manager Operation at CEFIRE Global also spoke during the occasion about the various offerings from his organization and on how these could be leveraged to help skill development among the students.
Later, Dr. Narayana Komerath fielded questions from the gathering and answered them which ranged from engineering education to product engineering, and patents.
