Vidya’s students and alumni organise prayer dance against COVID 19

In the backdrop of the ongoing COVID 19 crisis, a team of current and former students of Vidya came together to perform a dance item and pray for the speedy conquest of the deadly Corona virus. The dance programme was coordinated and choreographed Mr Anand E T (TI, EEE Dept), himself an accomplished dance teacher.

The artists

The students who participated in the novel programme were Indulekha Warrier (2014 B Tech EEE passout), Malavika Anilkumar (2013 B Tech EEE passout), Sreejith M Jayaraj (2013 B Tech ME passout), Malavika Mohan (S6 MCA), Swathika K S (2017 B Tech passout), Roopa P R  (S8 B Tech CE), Vishwajith (S4 B Tech EEE), Kavya A S (2018 B Tech CSE passout) and Parvathy Ramachandran (S2 B Tech CSE), all of whom had won accolades for winning prizes in several competitions. Indulekha Warrier, daughter of well-known caricaturist Mr Jayaraj Warrier, is a playback singer, Malavika Anilkumar is the winner of Asianet Star Singer programme, Malavika Mohan and Swathika K S are prize winners in Calicut University Art Fest, Roopa and Parvathy are winners of CBSE Kalotsavam, and Vishnwajith is a winner in Ashtapathi, Light music and other competitions at the State level.
