“I never dreamed about success. I worked for it.” : S8 CE students prove the adage right!

Binoy Thomas, Ananth Raj K, Chithra K S and Harismitha A from S8 B Tech (CE) batch were working on a project on the topic “A Study on Strength Properties of Fly Ash and GGBS based Geopolymer Concrete” under the guidance of Dr Deepa Mohan. The disruption in regular academic activities due the COVID – 19 induced lockdown did not affect the continuation of their work and they could complete their work to the satisfaction of the guide as well as all other faculty members of the Dept. Now a research paper titled “A Study on Strength Properties of Fly Ash and GGBS based Geopolymer Concrete” authored jointly by the students and the guide, based on the project work, has been accepted for presentation in the Seventh International Conference on Structural and Civil Engineering – SCE 2020, Grenz Scientific Society. The conference, organised by the IDES and the Association of Civil and Environmental Engineers, is scheduled to be held during Jul 24-25, 2020, Kochi. The paper will be published by the Grenze Scientific Society and it will be made available in the GRENZE International Journal of Engineering and Technology.
