CSE Dept organizes FDP on Generative AI : The future of Creativity & Automation
The Dept of CSE aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of faculty members in the rapidly evolving fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Deep Learning with innumerable initiatives .
With this aim, CSE Dept organized Faculty Development Program (FDP) during 13-17 January 2025. This five-day program brought together leading experts to offer in-depth sessions on various foundational and advanced topics.
The FDP provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of key AI concepts such as Generative AI, Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), Transformers, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Agentic AI. The sessions were designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications, enabling participants to apply their learning in academic research and teaching, as well as in professional AI development.
By the end of the program, faculty members were fortified with the latest insights into AI product engineering, the applications of deep learning in visual data processing, and the pioneering developments in generative models and language understanding systems. This report summarizes the key topics, discussions, and takeaways from the FDP, reflecting the significant contributions of the expert resource persons and the active participation of the attendees.
