ECE Dept organizes one-day Workshop on ‘Arduino Programming’
By providing a foundational understanding of practical applications in technology, the ECE Department regularly organizes a variety of programs designed to enhance students’ technical skills and expand their knowledge base.
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) organized a one-day Workshop on Arduino Programming for plus one and plus two students of Chentrappini HSS (CHSS) on 26 July 2025. The workshop aimed to introduce school students to the fundamentals of electronics and microcontroller coding, providing them with a foundational understanding of practical applications in technology.
The program was coordinated by Mr Santumon S D (Asst Asst Prof, ECE Dept) who meticulously oversaw the smooth execution of the event. The hands-on session was conducted by Ms Remya K R (Asst Asst Prof, ECE Dept),Ms Anju Vincent (Asst Asst Prof, ECE Dept) and Ms Baby K A )Asst Asst Prof, ECE Dept) who guided the students through various aspects of Arduino programming and electronics.
In the afternoon, the students were taken on a campus tour, which included visits to the library, auditorium, and the major labs in the ECE department. This gave the students a comprehensive understanding of the academic resources and technical infrastructure available at VAST.
The workshop culminated with a detailed demonstration of specialized training kits, led by lab instructors Ms Shegi Prakash (Trade Instructor, ECE Dept) and Priyanka Vijayakumar (Trade Instructor, ECE Dept). The students were introduced to the optical trainer kit, microwave bench, and digital IC trainer kit, offering them practical exposure to essential electronics tools.
The feedback from the students was overwhelmingly positive. They found the workshop highly engaging and educational, particularly appreciating the practical exposure to hands-on activities. The accompanying teachers also expressed their satisfaction with the event, noting the increased enthusiasm among the students to gain more technical knowledge.
The Editorial Team of News & Events joins the entire Vidya fraternity in extending hearty appreciation to Ms Remya, Ms Anju , Ms Baby and all involved on the successful conduct of the workshop that inspires students to pursue more advanced topics in programming and electronics, fueling their interest in the ever-evolving world of technology !!! |
