TinkerHub brings AI Creativity to Classrooms: “Code & Create with AI” – Kutty Makers initiative for High School Students
Vidya conducts various sessions and activities to introduce young learners to the exciting world of artificial intelligence and demonstrate how easily they can build simple apps and websites using AI-powered tools, thereby nurturing creativity and digital confidence at an early age.
As part of the Kutty Makers initiative, TinkerHub VAST conducted a highly engaging and interactive session titled “Code & Create with AI” on 28 November 2025 for the high school students of Assisi EMHSS, Thalakottukara. A total of 38 enthusiastic students participated in the one-hour workshop, designed to demonstrate how simple and exciting it can be to build apps and websites using AI—even without advanced technical expertise.
The program began with a warm welcome and introductory remarks by Ms. Mithu Varghese (Faculty Advisor of TinkerHub VAST, Asst Prof, CSE Dept) who prepared the students for the creative journey ahead. The main session was led by Arfan B T (S8, CSE Dept) who introduced the students to AI-assisted web development. Using simple prompts and relatable examples, he showcased how AI tools can transform basic ideas into functional web pages. The students were instantly captivated.
The hands-on segment, handled by Afsal Ahamed Y A (S8, CSE Dept) featured a live demonstration of Gemini Canvas. Students actively explored the tool, experimented with prompts, asked questions, and immersed themselves in the process. Their excitement was evident—they didn’t want the session to end.
To conclude the event, students participated in a fun and creative activity where they shared their own website ideas, describing how they wanted their pages to look and what features they wanted. Fadil Abdulla E (S8, CSE Dept) and Mohammed Anas (S6, CSE Dept) guided them, helping them articulate their ideas confidently. The room buzzed with energy, creativity, and laughter.
The “Code & Create with AI” session was a vibrant blend of learning and creativity. The students of Assisi EMHSS gained valuable hands-on exposure to AI-assisted development and left the session inspired and eager to explore technology further.
The Kutty Makers initiative continues to ignite curiosity and innovation among young minds — and this event stands out as a memorable milestone in that journey.
