AIML Dept conducts session on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning & Introduction to Robotics

Sessions on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning have been conducting  by the AIML Department to create awareness among students about emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Robotics through various activities.

As part of the Gramakam event, two awareness sessions were conducted at GVHSS Velur on 16 April 2026, aiming to introduce students to emerging technologies and their applications.

The forenoon (FN) session on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning was handled by Ms. Riya Roy (Asst Prof, AIML Dept) and Ms. Sinda P. Xavier (Asst Prof, AIML Dept). The session introduced students to the basic concepts of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and their real-world applications, including automation and smart systems. The interactive approach helped students understand how AI is integrated into everyday life.

The afternoon (AN) session on Introduction to Robotics was conducted by Ms. Aswathy E. R (Asst Prof, AIML Dept) and Ms. Manjusha P. D. (Asst Prof, AIML Dept). This session focused on the fundamentals of robotics, key components of robots, and their applications across various fields. It also highlighted the connection between robotics and artificial intelligence.

Approximately 30 students from nearby schools attended the sessions. Both sessions were engaging and informative, successfully creating awareness and sparking interest among students in emerging technologies and potential future career paths.

The Editorial Team of News & Events joins the entire Vidya fraternity in extending heartiest appreciation to Ms Riya,Ms. Sinda Ms Manjusha and Ms. Aswathy on the successful conduct of the session that provides basic concepts and real-world applications and promotes curiosity and engagement through interactive learning !!!
