Vidya chapter of IEEE Women in Engineering celebrates Women’s Day

As part of the celebrations of the International Women’s Day, the Executive Committee of the IEEE Women in Engineering (WiE) chapter of IEEE Student Branch (IEEE SB) of Vidya, conducted an online competition titled “The Caption Contest” on 8 March 2021.  A google form was circulated through the official contact group of IEEE SB, and it was open for entry from 5.00 pm on 5 March 5PM till 10.00 pm on 7 March 2021. As many as 58 students participated in the contest. The winners were selected by IEEE PES Chairperson Neha Baju from S1B Batch (CSE).

The winners

• First prize was awarded to Sreeranjini  Sreekumar (S1 B Tech CE) for her caption “Igniting herself to achieve satiety”.
• Second prize was awarded to Gayathri Satheeshkumar for her caption “SHE, A resilient mind with silent plea”.
