Vidya’s Techno Cultural Fest VYVIDH 2024-’25 explores new frontiers reform the future to dream big and presents their dreams wings

VYVIDH 2024-’25  –  A supreme destination for all technophiles, beginner or expert, student or professional to witness, learn and experience the wonders of science and technology !!!

To provide a platform and keep the  innovative minds as enthusiastic and motivated,  VYVIDH 2024-’25  attracted  people from all walks of life including students, academics, professionals and the general public. The two-day Central Committee  events  (‘AVISHKAR’ – for final year students of Diploma, B Tech, M Tech, MCA, ‘IDEATHON’,  ‘FLEX FORUM’ – a paper presentation competition, ‘NAVAYUVA’  – Project Expo for school students showcased the innovation and creativity of younger minds passionate about cutting-edge technology).

Within the boundaries of Vidya, lies an entirely different world- youth, overloaded with talent and infinite imagination. Vidya celebrated  diversity in technology at VYVIDH 2024-’25 during 04-05 October 2024. With underlying spirit, ambitious events like  ‘EMMERSO’ (AIML Dept), ‘DESTROY THE DECIBEL’ (CSE Dept), ‘VASTATVA’(CE Dept), ‘LIGA-ROBOTICS’ (ECE Dept), ‘ELECSPIRE’ (EEE Dept), ‘ADVAITA’ (MCA), ‘AGNICHAKRA’ (ME  Dept) kindled a fervent interest in engineering and technology while inspiring and nurturing younger minds  in different progressive realms.

The event was inaugurated by Mr Manoj Chalakkal (PTA President) and Dr Sunitha C (Principal) and  addressed to a diverse gathering of students, and enthusiasts keen on exploring the realms of innovative technology and vibrant culture.

Mr Arjun Pandian IAS (Thrissur District Collector) ignited the spark of VYVIDH 2024-25 by launching the website www.vyvidh.vidyaacademy.ac.in and released the brochure on 24 September 2024.

AVISHKAR  (04 October 2024)  : Prize Money – 15K : featured a plethora of projects encompassing fields such as science, technology, arts, and social initiatives competitions for students of Diploma, B Tech, M Tech, MCA workshops, and engaging activities, all adjudicate by expert panels.A total of 31 teams from Vidya Academy took part in this event, showcasing innovative projects across various disciplines

FLUX FORUMPaper Presentation Competition (04 October 2024) :  Prize Money – 10K : Theme : ‘Improving disaster mitigation in the event of Wayanad tragedy’. The participants were given 10 minutes time for presentation and 5 minutes for discussion. Dr Sudha Balagopalan (former Dean – Academics) and Ms. Nirmala Krishnan (Asst. Prof, CE Dept) provided their proficiency to assess the presentations.

NAVAYUVA  –  (04 October 2024)  : Prize Money : 20K : Project Expo for school students served as a platform for younger minds in grades 8-12 from various schools to showcase their innovative projects and  to celebrate students’ skills, knowledge, and accomplishments across diverse fields. Interactive displays, prototypes, and hands-on demonstrations were used to communicate each project effectively

IDEATHON (05 October 2024) : Prize Money : 10 K novelty and entrepreneurship competition in collaboration with IEDC (Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre,Vidya) designed specifically for the students of Diploma, B Tech, M Tech, MCA. This event  was  engaged with the contestants  to energize and join with their passions to realize societal problems and propose solutions. The judges presiding over Ideathon Event were Ms.Jensy babu (Asst.prof of CSE) and Ms Sreekala (Asst.prof of CSE). The 6 teams were present during the event and each present their ideas with the help of a PowerPoint presentation. Themes of the Ideathon ranged from Emerging Technologies to Open Categories, and was up to the teams to choose.

PROWSHOW  –  05 October 2024 –  Cultural extravaganza PROSHOW by Tharavad Musical Band’ was a reverberating sensation, leaving the audience in awe of the performers’ talents. The dedication and hard work that went into creating such a high-quality program were palpable throughout the event. The Proshow team led by Vidya’s alumnus Mr Ayoob A Zainudheen -Vocalist and Guitarist (B.Tech 2017-2021 Batch and M.Tech, SE 2022-2024 Batch , CE Dept) with the band members Mr Anix Samuel-Violinist (M Tech, SE 2022-2024 Batch , CE Dept), Mr Naveen S-Lead Guitarist (B.Tech 2013-2017 Batch, CSE Dept), Mr Mubeen Musthafa (Vocalist), Mr Paulwin Seby (Keyboardist),Mr Jole Joseph (Bass Guitarist), Mr Abishek Oomen (Drummer), Mr Amaljith (Vocalist) with amazing and energetic, sound, light and everyone involved both students and institution worked tirelessly to bring this astounding experience.
To add a bit of flair and rhythm to this event, the talented dance crew, D’Addiction Team dazzle entry that kept  the spectators  toes with their wonderful dance performances of various styles. The event was held under the guidance of  staff coordinator Ms Jucy Wareed (Asst Prof, CSE Dept) with the support of  (S7,CE Dept) as student co-ordinator.
