National Seminar in Discrete Mathematics and Applications
The Centre for Studies in Discrete Mathematics (CSDM) functioning in the Deparment of Applied Sciences in the College organised a National Seminar on Discrete Mathematics and Applications (NSDMA – 2017) during 19 – 21 July 2017. The seminar was partially sponsored by the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology & Environment (KSCSTE).
The following eight eminent invited speakers delivered their lectures in the seminar.

- Dr Joseph Varghese Kureethara (Christ University, Bengaluru): “Partial Domination of Graphs”
- Dr Pranjali (Banasthali University, Rajasthan):”Zero-divisor labeling of graphs”
- Dr K.A. Germina (Central University of Kerala, Kasaragod): “Spectrum of Graph for Analyzing Structure and Evolution of Networks”
- Dr R Parvathy (Vellalar College for Women, Erode): “Intuitionistic Fuzzy Logic Controller”
- Dr Sunny joseph Kalayathankal (Kuriakose Elias College, Kottayam): “Fuzzy Sets and Decision Making”

Dr V Vilfred (central University of Kerala, Kasaragod): “The Four Color Theorem – A New Proof by Induction”
- Dr V.N. Krishnachandran (Vidya Academy of Science & Technology, Thrissur: “From Brahmagupta to Bhargava via Gauss: A Journey Through Three Epochs”
During the contributory sessions, twenty four researchers from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan presented their research papers. Five members of our mathematics faculty also presented their research papers in the seminar. Cash awards and Certificates of Merit were presented for best three research papers presented in the seminar.
