Vidya hosts State Conference of NSS Programme Officers

Vidya hosted the one-day “State Programme Officers Conference” of the NSS Technical Cell on 25 September 2018. It was a mega-event involving the participation of as many as 230 NSS Programme Officers from various Engineering and Polytechnic Colleges across Kerala. The NSS Programme Officers of the College,  Mr Anil Melepurath, Ms Aswathy P, Ms Mahalakshmy A and Mr Cinto P A  also attended the Conference.

The programme started with an ice-breaking session handled by Mr Brahma Nayakam Mahadevan (NSS Trainer). The Conference approved a plan of activities to be implemented at the regional and district level. A session on effective documentation was handled by Mr Abid Tharavattath.

The inaugural function

Ms Ajitha S, State Programme Coordinator, NSS Technical Cell, Kerala, welcomed the gathering. The presidential address was given by Dr Saji C B, Prinicipal. The programme was officially inaugurated by Mr Abdul Nazar (Regional Director, Directorate of Technical Education, Kerala). The keynote address was delivered by Mr G P Sajith Babu (Regional Director, NSS). The special addresses were given by Dr Sabukuttan K (State NSS Officer), Mr I V Soman (ETI Coordinator, NSS) and Dr Sudha Balagopalan (Dean-Academics). Mr Anil Melepurath (NSS Programme Officer) gave vote of thanks.
