Alumni inaugurate MCA Association (ViCA) activities
The activities of the Vidya Computer Applications Association, fondly called ViCA, were formally inaugurated in a colourful function held in the College Auditorium on 10 October 2018. Departing from the custom of inviting celebrities as chief guests for such occasions, the organisers invited two alumni of the Computer Applications Department (MCA Dept) as the chief guests of the occasion: Mr Jeswin Saju (MCA 2008 – 11 batch) currently working as Assistant Professor in St Thomas College, Thrissur, and Mr Tinoj Thomas (MCA 2010 – 13 Batch) currently working as Assistant Professor in Sree Kerala Varma College, Thrissur. Dr V N Krishnachandran (Head, MCA Dept) presided over the function and Dr Saji C B, Principal, graced the occasion with his presence and felicitation address.
The main highlight of the formal part of the programme was the distribution of prizes for various competitions held under the auspices of the Association. There was a quiz competition with insightful questions posed by the Quiz Maters Irine Babu and Sahadiya Shaji of S3 MCA which was open to all students of the College. There was also music and vibrant dance.
