Mega Blood Donation Camp and AMRUT Survey Appreciation Programme by NSS

In connection with the celebrations of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and the celebrations of the golden jubilee of National Service Scheme, a regional Mega Blood Donation Camp and an Amrut Survey Appreciation Programme were conducted at Vidya on 29 January 2020. The programme included the organisation of a Mega Blood Donation Camp, conferring special appreciations to colleges which had arranged blood donation camps, appreciations for students who had donated blood and also appreciations for colleges which had participated in the Amrut Survey.
The programme started at 10:30 am with Manavageetham. The welcome address was given by Mr Anil Melepurath, Regional Coordinator NSS TC, Thrissur – Palakkad – Malappuram, followed by the introductory address by Smt Ajitha S, State Programme Coordinator, NSS TC. The presidential address was delivered by Dr C B Saji, Principal. The inaugural address was delivered by Ms Sherly Dileepkumar, President, Velur Grama Panchayat. The Amrut Survey report was handed over to the Town Planning Officer Mr Rajeev K R by Smt Ajitha. A special address was given  by Mr Rajeev K R on Amrut Survey.

Mega Blood Donation Camp
The Mega Blood Donation Camp was conducted in three locations: Thrissur District Hospital, Amala Institute of Medical Science and IMA Blood Bank. In total, as much as 229 units of blood were collected. The programme came to an end at 12:30pm.
