ECE Dept alumnus develops dummy electronic voting machine

Rahul V S, an alumnus of B Tech (ECE) 2016 admission batch of Vidya, constructed three dummy voting machines to educate voters about the procedures of casting votes using an electronic voting machine. These dummy voting machines were widely used in the campaign during the recently concluded elections to local self-government bodies.  Rahul developed this machine using thermocol, cardboard and LED bulbs. When one presses the button against a candidate’s name the machine produces a buzzer sound and the button’s light will turn red in colour.
