EEE faculty member participates in the Global Wind Day Quiz

Vidya faculty members guarantee that they congregate their academic prospective and contribute their maximum in all the scholastic movements with their active participation.

A day which is observed with the goal of realizing the possibilities of wind power.Global Wind Day is observed on every June 15 to celebrate wind energy and raise awareness about its potential. Global Wind Day is celebrated by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) with the theme of “Pawan – Urja: Powering the Future of India”.

MNRE has set the target of 500 GW renewable energy capacity by 2030 and Wind Atlas at 150 meter above ground level was also launched by National Institute of Wind Energy (NIWE), estimating the onshore wind potential at 1,164 GW.

This year, as part of the initiative, the MNRE organized a Global Wind Day Quiz. Ms Akhila R (Asst Prof, EEE Dept) successfully participated in the quiz and has been awarded the certificate of appreciation by the MNRE, GoI.
