CE Dept conducts Expert talk on “Bamboo Application for Sustainable Engineering”

Alternative materials that are rapid growing and sustainable are being required to satisfy human needs due to the global population and connected environmentally destructive consumption of natural resources.The plant bamboo is one of the material that is fast growing and sustainable.

With this aim, Dept of CE conducted an interesting talk on “Bamboo Application for Sustainable Engineering” to final year and prefinal students of various departments on 05 September 2023.Mr K P Murthy (Former Senior General Manager, Bosch) handled the session.

Mr Murthy emphasized on the need of sustainability to be executed in all major and minor industrial establishments. He motivated the students to do good projects bringing sustainability elements in it. The students were benefitted by his sharing with respect to various work experiences the resource person had in India and abroad with various capacities.

Dr Abhilasha P S (HoD, CE Dept) delivered welcome speech and introduced the chief guest .The interactive session concluded with vote of thanks from student representative, Sinan Sulaiman (S5, ME Dept).
