College Day ‘PRAVEGA 2024’

College festivals are occasions for celebrations  and  exposure to the external world where participants can exhibit their unique talents and passions.

To foster the intrinsic qualities of students, Vidya’s College Day christened “PRAVEGA 2024” was celebrated on 03 May 2024. Rohith Sankar E S (Chairperson, S8, ME Dept) delivered the welcome address. Dr Saji C B (Principal) inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp.Dr Saji C B (Principal) and Dr Sunitha C (Vice Principal, HoD, AIML Dept) gave away the prizes and certificates. Heads of various Departments, Senate faculty Conveners Ms Anooja V S (Asst Prof, EEE Dept) and Mr Sangeeth K K (Asst Prof, ME Dept) other office bearers of the Senate attended function . Akash Krishna M (General Secretary) presented Annual Report, highlighting the academic, co-curricular, and extracurricular achievements of our college. Sneha M S ( Vice-Chairperson, S8, CE Dept) proposed vote of thanks

To enhance the literary skill of the students , VAST Central Library with the support of Association of Vidya Alumni (AVA) had conducted Extempore & Book review competition ‘Read & Rekindle’ and the winners were awarded the prizes during the event.  Extempore Book Review competition ‘Read & Rekindle

In recognition of their exceptional talent and creativity, the trophy for the champions of the arts festival ‘Advika 2024’ was also presented.The Dept of CSE won the trophy in both ‘Alpha’ and ‘Beta’ groups.The Captains and Vice captains of arts festival – Advika were honored and felicitated for their achievements.

The programme that filled with eloquent performance with the final year students from the Departments of CE, CSE and ECE to bring out the feels together and they gave a visual treat with their high-octane performance.

From captivating beats to infectious bangs, the DJ session to the beats of some of the most adrenaline-rushing numbers had the attendees on their feet, generated a memorable and energetic atmosphere to bring back some fond memories.

Ms Anooja V S (Senate Convener, Asst Prof, EEE Dept) and Mr Sangeeth K K (Senate Co-Convener, Asst Prof, ME Dept) with support of Student Senate and volunteers co-ordinated the event. Sinan Sulaiman (S6, ME Dept) and Farzeena (S4, CE Dept) served as the Master of Ceremonies.
