VIBE conducts Awareness Programme on ‘Sports Injuries’ to school students

Attentiveness of suitable action and rehabilitation can cut down the period of injury-based idleness for the injured students.

With an aim to to prevent and reduce injuries in different sports, a session on ‘Sports Injuries’ under the auspices of VIBE (Vidya Initiative for Better Engineering) was held at Chentrappini Higher Secondary School (CHSS), Chentrappini on 29 April 2024 for HS students. Mr Ramesh K V (Asso Prof Physical Education, VAST) served as resource person. Mr Ramesh briefed the method of reducing injury risk from the type of sport, to physical traits, earlier injuries and preparation and competition necessities.

Mr Kiran K S (Head Master, CHSS),Mr Sijil T N (HSA, Physical Education, CHSS) and Mr Dhanil P R (Clerk, CHSS) attended the session. Ms Ashitha P R (Asst Prof, ECE Dept) and Mr Vishnu Shaji (Asst Prof, ME Dept) also present on the occasion.

Ms Ashitha P R (Asst Prof, ECE Dept) co-ordinated the session with the wholehearted support of Mr Dhanil P R.
