Tribute to Dr D Balakrishnan (Founder Academic Director)

Dr D Balakrishnan (Founder Academic Director), a great visionary and a foresighted educationist, dedicated to driving institutional goals with great resilience for many years since Vidya’s inception in 2003 left us heavenly abode on 16 Aug 2010.

In remembrance of late Dr D Balakrishnan (DB sir),Vidya arranged a befitting tribute to Dr D Balakrishnan on 17 August 2024 in the main lobby of the college.Floral tributes were offered before the image of  Dr D Balakrishnan by Mr Suresh Lal (Executive Director, VICT),Dr Sunitha C (Principal), Vidya Staff Members and students.Dr Rakesh Hari (HoD, ME Dept)  set the tone for the event and highlighted the importance of the tribute.

Mr Suresh Lal recollected the contributions of Dr D Balakrishnan towards the success of our institution and expressed his gratitude.Dr Sunitha C (Principal) shared the experiences with  DB sir and his visions that placed the ways for taking Vidya as a reputed institution.Dr Jeeva K A (Professor & HoD, AIML Dept), Dr Abhilasha P S (HoD,CE Dept) and Dr Nisha A B (Asso. Prof, AS Dept) also reminisced their cherished memories with DB Sir  on the occasion.The event was co-ordinated by ME Dept and Dr Sooraj K Prabha (Professor, ME Dept) served as the co-ordinator.

The program served as a perfect tribute to DB sir who made great impact in the various  areas of excellence and his contributions will be intensely marked in the history of Vidya.
