ME Dept organizes workshop on Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) in collaboration with Bosch Limited

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) comprise a suite of electronic technologies integrated into modern vehicles to support drivers in navigation, control and parking.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering successfully organized an insightful workshop on Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) in collaboration with Bosch Limited on 12 April 2025.The session, led by Ms Aishwarya Rajashekaran (Assistant Manager – Business Development, Technical Service & Support, BOSCH Limited) provided an in-depth understanding of ADAS technologies and their applications in the automotive industry.

The workshop covered key aspects of ADAS, including collision avoidance, lane assistance, artificial intelligence integration and autonomous vehicle navigation.The session enabled students and faculty members to gain practical knowledge about cutting-edge automotive technologies, enhancing their understanding of industry advancements.

Additionally, an online foundation course on ADAS was also introduced, offering students an opportunity to explore the fundamental concepts and modern developments in autonomous driving technology.The affordability and accessibility of this online course were highlighted, making it a valuable resource for aspiring engineers.

Speaking at the event, Ms Aishwarya Rajashekaran emphasized the growing significance of ADAS in modern vehicles and the increasing demand for skilled professionals in this field. She encouraged students to explore research and career opportunities in automotive safety and intelligent mobility solutions.
