CSE faculty member and students present paper at the International Conference on Intelligent Techniques in Computer and Engineering Science

Vidya is committed to promoting and disseminating knowledge in intelligent technologies, fostering collaboration between academia and industry, and driving innovation across science, engineering, and technology.

A team of students and a faculty member from the CSE department successfully presented a survey paper at the 3rd International Conference on Intelligent Techniques in Computer and Engineering Science (ITCES’25), held on 10th and 11th March 2025 at the College of Engineering Perumon, Kollam, Kerala.

The paper, titled “Human Stress Detection Based on Sleeping Habits Using Machine Learning Algorithms (Track 9)” introduces a model that leverages machine learning algorithms to detect stress levels based on sleep patterns and physiological data. The research highlights how early detection of stress can be facilitated through the analysis of sleeping habits—potentially contributing to better mental health management and timely intervention strategies.

The work was carried out as part of a B.Tech project by students Hanna Gafoor (S8, CSE Dept), Sandra Rose Joseph (S8, CSE Dept), Udaya Krishna E.M.(S8, CSE Dept) and Frijo Antony C F (S8, CSE Dept) under the mentorship of Ms. Anitha L (Asst.Prof, CSE Dept).

The Editorial Team of  News & Events joins the entire Vidya fraternity in extending heartiest congratulations to Ms Anitha on this significant triumph that underscores a promising approach to early stress detection and opens new avenues for proactive mental health care and timely support strategies !!!
